Visiting Arrangements

The Governing Body wants parents to feel able to visit their child's class at any time during school hours.  Parents may want to visit from time to time, some more frequently than others.  All that can be done, will be done to make them feel welcome.

Of course, any visitors to a class will disrupt normal activities.  On the whole, staff will try to encourage visitors to come in the afternoons if they can.  However, staff will understand if parents can only come for a morning visit or if they want to see a special activity which happens during the morning sessions.

The teacher may be very busy and not able to give them the parents much attention at first.  The teacher will greet them and invite them to sit and join in ongoing activities and talk to the pupils and other staff in the classroom.

If parents wish to discuss some aspect of their child's education at length or see a particular activity, they should ask for an appointment to do so.  This will give the staff time to arrange things to everybody's advantage and avoid disrupting children's education.
