About St Luke's

St Luke’s Primary School is a day special school for primary aged children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, which serves the North Lincolnshire Local Authority.
At present we have around 190 children on role.  We organise the school across key stage groups as follows:

Early Years
Key Stage 1
Lower Key Stage 2
Upper Key Stage 2

Most children are taught in their class group all day.  In Key Stage 2 some children with complex learning needs access  a communication and cognition curriculum in a separate group.

Our School
St Luke’s is a purpose built special school.  We benefit from many facilities that support children’s learning.  We have a Hydrotherapy Pool, a Light and Sound Room, a Sensory Differences Room, a Teaching Kitchen and PE and Dining Halls.  Our outside areas have undergone considerable transformation in recent years.  We have an accessible adventure playground and park, a sensory garden, a cycle trail, a stage and outdoor exercise equipment.  This year we are aiming to further improve our outdoor environment by developing the field into a new playground area and outdoor learning space.

We also have a separate EYFS unit in the building next to the main school site.  This opened in April 2022.   The EYFS unit is a self-contained unit with it's own hall, playgrounds and sensory areas.
