About St Luke's

St Luke’s Primary School is a day special school for primary aged children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, which serves the North Lincolnshire Local Authority. At present we have around 126 children on role. We organise the school across key stage groups as follows:
Early Years
Key Stage 1
Lower Key Stage 2
Upper Key Stage 2
In the Early Years Group and Key Stage 1 Classes children are taught in their group all day. In Key Stage 2 Children have two distinct groups. In the mornings children are taught English, Maths and a PE session in ability groups (which go across two year groups), in the afternoon they are taught in mixed ability classes according to their age. At St Luke’s we personalise the curriculum to ensure that all children make progress throughout the school day.
Our School
St Luke’s is a purpose built special school. We benefit from many facilities that support children’s learning. We have a Hydrotherapy Pool, a Light and Sound Room, a Sensory Differences Room, a Teaching Kitchen and PE and Dining Halls. Our outside areas have undergone considerable transformation in recent years. We have an accessible adventure playground, a sensory garden, a cycle trail, a stage, outdoor exercise equipment. This year we are aiming to further improve our outdoor environment by developing the field into a new playground area.
