Support Services

The school has access to a wide range of specialist support services. There are education services who provide visiting teachers and teaching assistants who specialise in the needs of children with sensory and physical disabilities. Educational psychologists, specialist advisory teachers and other officers also provide support. Medical reviews and advice are available from a community paediatric consultant who regularly visits the school. A specialist clinical nurse and an advanced health care assistant provide advice about medical care.  Therapeutic support is made available by physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and other personnel.  Social care support is provided by social workers and other workers, including specialist social workers.  Other community nurses who work with children with learning and other disabilities also provide support for families and the school.
