School Opening Times

There are 190 days for pupils to attend school during each school year.

Teaching sessions are from 9.25 am to 11.55 and from 1.05 pm to 3.35 pm.

Children are received in school from 9.05 am and leave for home after 3.40 pm.

The midday break from 11.55 to 1.05 includes a supervised lunch and a range of play activities as well as time for toileting and personal hygiene programmes.

Children also have a mid-morning break for a healthy drink and snack and play. Younger children may also get an afternoon break for a drink and some play but older children will only get a break for a drink.

The number of hours of actual teaching time, excluding breaks and assemblies is about 23 hours per week.
